When the park opened in 1976 this was the ride that thrilled everyone but it was known as Turn of the Century(see picture below). In 1979 this ride closed at the end of the season. In 1980 the ride reopend and was renamed the Demon with 2 loops added. This 102 foot tall ride is sure to please you with the airtime you get on the first drop and the 2 loops in a row right into a dark tunnel with lights that blur by while you travel at 50mph. With 2 corckscrew loops through a water fall cave to finish it off. Special Facts: In 1998 this ride got stuck in its 2nd loop with a full train of passangers. It was stuck up there for 2 hours. At the beging of 2001 the people who decided to sue from the incident ended debates and 15 of the 28 people got to split a $450,000 pot. |
